I trained as a GP in Gloucester. I was a partner in two city practices and represented Gloucester on the LMC for seven years. In 2008, I set up Gloucester GP Consortium with colleagues in the city and went on to be the medical director of Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust, before joining GDoc in 2016. I am a Clinical Associate to the New Care Models programme of NHS England and, until recently, the Care Quality Commission’s advisor on urgent care. I am a non-executive director of the MDDUS.

Before becoming a GP, I trained in emergency medicine and intensive care, with membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. I have an MA in medical law and ethics and have studied transformational change in healthcare at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.

MB CHB MRCGP DRCOG. I qualified from Bristol University in 1987 and have been with the Leckhampton Surgery in Cheltenham since 1993. I enjoy all aspects of general practice but with a particular interest in ear, nose and throat problems, and care of the elderly.

I have been a trainer for GP Registrars since 1997.

I am the GP Provider Lead for Cheltenham and Lead GP for the Cheltenham Peripheral Cluster

I am a Crowd doctor at Cheltenham Racecourse and occasionally at Cheltenham Town Football Club and Gloucester Rugby Club and this fits in with my love of sport: I enjoy golf, cycling & skiing and watching football & rugby. I am married with 2 grown up children & a Border terrier

Dr Sampson is originally from Northamptonshire, and having qualified in 1999, worked in hospitals in the East Midlands, Sydney and Truro. He completed his training as a GP in 2009 in Penzance, Cornwall, and moved to Gloucestershire in 2010. He has interests in occupational and musculoskeletal medicine, education and urgent care.
Dr Sampson loves cooking and spending time in the great outdoors. He is married and has two young children.

He consults at the surgery three days a week and is the locality provider representative at the Clinical Commissioning Group for Stroud and Berkeley Vale.
